Sexual Violence Prevention and Education 2018 Winter Workshops
Consent +
Join us in conversations centered on healthy relationships, sexuality, consent, bystander intervention, and how to be brave when responding to a disclosure of sexual violence.

Gender 101
Join us in conversations about gender roles, gender identity, gender expression, and their connections to gender-based violence.

Bringing in the Bystander
Join us in conversations centered on understanding our potential as prosocial bystanders. Participants will explore the continuum of inappropriate behaviors that enable sexual violence and challenge the culture in which sexual violence takes place. The workshop creates a safe(r) space for participants to identify prosocial actions they themselves can take towards building a culture of consent!

Kanawayhitowin - The Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres
Kanawayhitowin is an Indigenous campaign to raise awareness about the signs of gender-based violence in our communities, so that persons who are close to (an) at-risk person(s) can provide support. This campaign has been adapted from the Neighbors, Friends and Family initiative in the province of Ontario to reflect a traditional and cultural approach to community healing and wellness. ~ Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks will be provided ~
